diydanna@yahoo.com BioI was born on a little island to an Afro-Bohemian mother and sensitive American Indian artist father, and raised in Boremont, TX. I now reside in the suburbs of Austin, TX.
I'm a freelance journalist, struggling fiction writer and poet working on a collection of poetry (to be self published), a play and sometimes my first novel, which is a world of its own. When I'm not exploring this wonderful fictional world, I'm watching an indie/arthouse film, theatre, hearing some great local music, singing, or goofing off on MySpace.com/diydanna and avoiding my official web site diydanna.org until I get some official help. I blog a lot, and still do the online review thing. But what I really want to do is start a music magazine, write and produce a few stage productions, an art documentary, and eventually publish my fiction. In the meantime I write for other publications and help my sister take care of her wonderfully wacky kids. I'm single but not looking for a relationship at the moment. If it happpens - great. If it doesn't - great. I'm lying. I need love like everybody else. But I've accepted my solitary existence for many years now. It's not a bad life...
